Bio: Jacob grew up a shy and quiet child and it wasn’t until he had his own Pokemon by his side that he finally became passionate about something. Adventurous and always one for a challenge, He’s creative when it comes to the battlefield, but not so much in conversation. Often at a loss for words and very quiet when it comes to crowds, Jacob has always been more of a listener. Jacob was always a good little soldier and did what he was told. Within reason, of course.
Nature loving, but water hating, especially after the Apollo Accident that he somewhat took part of. He loves his pokemon and will do anything in his power to protect them and help them with their problems and ordeals over his own. This love often rubs off onto the people around him, he’s always been a shoulder to cry on and an easy to talk to guy. Something about him tells you that Jacob is a man who’s not only a good Pokemon trainer, but a great friend.  

History: Jacob was born in Nacrene City, however, moved from town to town frequently due to his father's work. Jacob's father, Norman Aide, was one of the leading professors in developing software that would enable humans to understand Pokemon. Jacob still owns a prototype of the device, which comes in the form of an ear piece. It can only translate the words of owned Pokemon, but otherwise has no known bugs or problems.
Now, Norman is happily married to Leila Aide, who gave him not only Jacob as a son, but also Jacob’s older brother Jeffrey, who grew up to become a Unova Pokemon Ranger. Jacob, on the other hand, had the idea of becoming the Unova champion! So, he ventured throughout the region, meeting and capturing many colorful and amazing Pokemon, eventually changing his dream from becoming a Pokemon Master to simply being a powerful trainer. He explored Unova and eventually made his way to Kalos in his adventures of finding friends and battling enemies. However, as time passed, Jacob’s love for his pokemon and competitive nature got the best of him. His Pokemon started to get seriously hurt and while many were only left with scars, eventually, one was left unable to battle. After a horrific accident, Jacob’s first starter and partner, Porky the Emboar, was so badly wounded that, despite what doctors told them, they knew Porky would not be able to battle for a long time.
After this, Jacob decided to retire not only Porky, but himself as well. Using the money he got from his adventures, he purchased a small home and land near Floccesy Town, making himself and his ‘mons a proper place to call home.
He retired there for a while, however the fighting spirit of his ‘mons kept Jacob from enjoying his new life. Eventually, in an attempt to calm them down, he took some of them to Apollo City to watch the upcoming competition, in hopes it would get them to quit their battling days. However, using some persuasion and a cute bird, they were able to convince Jacob to join in on the fight.

Jacob was undefeated going into the third round at Apollo, but due to a catastrophic incident, the battle was sort lived and Jacob was swept out. Despite his loss, Jacob’s battling spirit and love for fighting was re-ignited! He got back to training and catching new pokemon, being more careful with his discussions and training techniques. With patients and a good heart, Jacob was once again the amazing trainer he was before the Porky incident, some might say even better.  But that didn’t stop him from doing his new favorite pass time, vacationing!
And while on a summery vacation in the Ohana Islands, Jacob was contacted by the Battle Institute. They knew of his trials in Apollo just the previous year and they requested Jacob join the the rumored Battle Test. Jacob didn’t quite understand the implications of such an event, but with the promise of fun, games, prizes, and a chance to show off some of his, how could Jacob say no?

Trivia:

• Jacob doesn’t know how to swim and fears all water deeper than his knees

• Jacob has a bad scar from the Porky incident, though will lie and say it’s from a biking accident. He mainly wears pants because of this.

• Due to his fear of ghosts, Jacob has never owned a Ghost type pokemon of any kind

• Jacob fears the ocean and deep water much more than he fears ghosts

• A huge tourist! He’s a sucker for everything normally targeted for women and children, but OMG! Is that a Ohana Islands Blastoise Jacket??? I need it! What do you mean it only comes in kid sizes?

• Speaking of which, Jacob went on quite the shopping spree in Ohana!

• Look at that Sylveon Scarf, Croconaw Shirt, Infernape jeans, Stunfisk shoes, Squirtle Plush, Ferret duffel bag, and Ohana original merch: the Ohana slushy cup, the Ohana Island T-shirt, Hat, Mug, and Snow Globe!

BunBun

Personality: Relaxed - Likes to fight
BunBun, while normally quite chill and relaxed, he can turn on a dime and own a battlefield! Obedient, passionate, and always one to experiment, BunBun is the perfect ‘mon for a man like Jacob. Quick to the draw and with his varied move pool, Bun is a seasoned battler with a thirst for action!  

Backstory: BunBun was a wild born Nidoran who had little hope of being captured. Watching the other Nidoran get picked up and befriended, BunBun believed that he would never have a trainer. But then Jacob came along and took in the cute little rabbit. The two have been inseparable ever since.  BunBun and Jacob have been through heaven and hell together, in fact, BunBun was there for Jacob during and after the Porky incident and went with him to Apollo.

Why is he here?: Jacob and BunBun are virtually inseparable! Why wouldn’t he come with Jacob to vacation in the most beautiful islands on Earth (or so he’s told). He agreed to the Battle Test because, like Jacob, he’s optimistic about the games.

Trivia:

• BunBun was one of Jacob’s first Pokemon, being captured when Jacob was just 10 years old!

Sky ‘Mon

Personality: Sassy-Thoroughly Cunning
Jet is a bit of a silly goose. Highly confident and a real go-getter, Jet is a ‘mon who likes to pretend he’s a womanizing high flyer. Fast as lightning and all for show, Jet’s battle style is more making himself look good than actually battling.

Backstory: Wild born, Jet lived the life of a normal Trapinch with his mother until both him and his siblings were old enough to leave the nest. Jet’s mother was very worried about her son, his shiny colors unable to blend in with the sand, however, just days after leaving the nest, Jet was captured by Jacob, and his mother would worry no more.

Why is he here?: Jet complained quite a bit when Jacob went on vacation without him! So, to make it up to Jet, Jacob took him along for this trip. Jet is ecstatic about the Battle Test! He can’t wait to show off his moves and do what he does best. Perform.

Trivia:

• Jet is primarily used by Jacob as a flying mount. Jet is almost always equipped with a saddle

• Jet is a proud shiny and likes to boast about his bright colors

• The leather collar Jet wears is actually a custom made Expert Belt

Sea ‘Mon

Personality: Timid-Quick to flee
Lucky can’t help that he’s a giant sand-shark-dragon that’s afraid of the dark. Lucky is a big ol’ scardy cat who heavily relies on orders to fight. Despite being jittery and paranoid, Lucky always somehow comes out on top. Luck has always been on his side, helping him in the worst of times as it would seem, hence the name, Lucky

Backstory: Wild born, Lucky had a few run ins of the worst kind. Again, as luck would have it, he was never seriously hurt, however, he kept running into trouble, despite trying to avoid it. Eventually his luck lead him to Jacob, who captured him on the spot. Being loved and cared for made all the difference to terrified little Lucky. He cherishes every moment he’s with Jacob and the two have a unique trust in one another. Lucky trusting Jacob to help him with his fears, and Jacob trusting Lucky to be his boat, an honor that now only Lucky has.

Why is he here?: Jacob is bringing Lucky along to not only work on his bravery but also as a water mount. Jacob trusts every Pokemon he’s ever owned, but the ones he lets take care of him in the water is a different story entirely, Lucky being the only one currently who holds that honor.

Trivia:

• Lucky has quite a few fears, the main ones being of the dark and Ghosts

• Lucky is the only ‘mon Jacob trusts to keep him safe in water

Egg ‘Mon

Personality: Brave-Highly curious
Fei is just a kid with big dreams! She wants to be the strongest ‘mon that ever was! But to get that way, she has to be patient, which Fei doesn't have much of. She just wants to go out there and run, jump, fight, and be awesome. While he can be a bit of a handful at times, she’s a sweet kid with a heart of gold.

Backstory: Fei was found as an egg in Kalos some four or five years ago, abandoned by either her trainer or family (or simply lost). She hatched just five years ago and has been primarily raised by Porky, who is a natural dad. She grew to love battling and trusts Jacob to turn her in the right direction to being the best Weavile ever!

Why is he here?: Fei snuck her way into Jacob’s bag while he wasn’t looking, allowing her to come along on the vacation. She’s allowed to be part of the Battle Test because Jacob believes it could be a good training exercise for the over zealous kitten.

Trivia:

• Fei LOVES superheroes and other shinies! If she see’s someone who matches the heroes in her comic books, she’s bound to pounce on you! And if you’re a shiny, expect a bit more well mannered approach, however she still might pounce.

• Fei weighs much less than normal Sneasel (because my bulldog weighs 30 lbs! Why does a ninja cat weigh 60?)

Porky

Species: Emboar
Gender: Male
Height: 6’4” - 193cm

Personality: Adamant-Likes to Relax
Porky is just a jolly old man at this point, despite being no older than Jacob himself. He’s the big papa to all the other ‘mons and demands the same respect as Jacob when it comes to the more troublesome Pokemon, like Ty.

Backstory: Porky is one of Jacob’s oldest ‘mons, Porky being the starter given to him when Jacob started his Pokemon journey. The two have been together since the beginning and were almost together at the bitter end. The “Porky Incident” is one that neither of them like to bring up, and was the fated day Porky lost his arm. Ask him how he lost it, Porky will simply tell you that it was just a nasty accident that no one saw coming and no one could avoid.

Why is he here?: Porky was relaxing back in Floccesy Town when Jacob called in to tell him about the Battle Test and asked him to send over a couple Pokemon who want to be part of it. After doing some research, Porky became very aware of the implications of the Battle Test and decided to prove a point. He came along as a physical example of what a bad battle can turn into and sometimes enough is enough.

Trivia:

• Porky is missing his left arm and has some nasty scars on his chest. He is also missing half his tail and a few scars on his neck. These are all from the incident.

• The scar on his nose was from when Porky was a Tepig and was attacked by a Scyther (who was very sorry)

Mega ‘Mon  

Ty

Species: Tyranitar
Gender: Male
Height: 9’11” - 302cm

Personality: Impish-Hates to lose
Here is the villain himself, Ty the Tyranitar. Considered evil and dastardly, Ty first met Jacob by stealing the egg that once held his partner in crime, Tim. Ty is one of Jacob’s hardest hitters and most dastardly battlers, fighting with intent to kill, but with enough self control not to. He’s a big prankster with evil in his eye, but obedient to Jacob and Jacob alone.

Backstory: Ty was a wild born Larvitar who played pranks on many a mon and man. His antics got him in trouble with more people than he can count, however, he never stopped, eventually leading him to steal the egg that once held Tim. Jacob, not knowing of Ty’s history of pranks, captured him. Ty and Tim became partners in crime after Tim hatched, and eventually, as the two leveled, a super villain and his minion! So, Jacob had to separate them when they evolved into Tyranitar and Aggron. Over the years, Ty has been an exceptional hand full for Jacob, however, through harsh training and Jacob’s love, Ty learned to fully trust Jacob’s judgement and is one of Jacob’s most obedient ‘mons… even if only on the battlefield.

Why is he here?: Porky sent Ty over because Ty and Tim were causing a ruckus back home! Tim had already been part of a tournament and Ty was getting irritable that he hadn’t been allowed to battle in a few weeks

Trivia:

• Ty and Tim cannot be in the same place at the same time. In doing so would be catastrophic!

• Ty lost his eye when he decided to incapacitate a helicopter. He usually uses his MegaStone as a glass eye, but due to the Battle Institutes rules he has to use an Ohana Approved glass eye, hence the happy face.

• Most, if not all, of Ty’s scars are from when he as a Larvitar before he met Jacob. The scars were punishment for his wrong doings (he’s never quite learned his lesson tho)
